Dear Friends, This is week 3 of Catholic Climate Covenant’s Summer Advocacy Campaign: Care for Our Common Home and the Common Good, co-sponsored by Catholic Climate Covenant and Laudato Si’ Movement. Thanks to your help, we’ve already taken two important advocacy actions together! Last Friday, we asked you to contact your Members of Congress in honor of the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’. Many of you sent messages urging Congress to act on climate with moral courage and a commitment to justice. The week before, we invited you to sign the USCCB’s action alert to protect creation in the upcoming budget reconciliation bill. This Wednesday, June 25, Catholic advocates came together in Washington, D.C. for our Laudato Si’ Pilgrimage of Hope to Congress. The day included a prayer service, the blessing of encyclicals, and the hand-delivery of Laudato Si’ and personal letters to every Catholic Member of Congress.
