Dear Friend,, We are happy to announce that our 2024 Earth Day program, "Healing Our Throwaway Culture: Focus on Plastics," is now available to help with your Earth Day plans and celebrations! This year’s program focuses on the growing problem of plastic pollution and complements the secular Earth Day theme of “Planet vs. Plastics.” This FREE one-hour program will help your community learn about how plastic production, consumption, and disposal are impacting human and planetary health, and give you strategies for personal, communal, and systemic actions.
The interactive program (with prayers, readings, a short video, discussion questions, and ideas for action) may be used to celebrate the 54th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd, or the 9th anniversary of Laudato Si' (Laudato Si’ Week is May 19-26, 2024), or at any time that fits your community's schedule.

Please note: 1) The program includes a Facilitator Program Guide (with all the materials, script, links, and instructions for an event organizer) and a Participant Program Guide (suitable for in-person and online [i.e., Zoom] group events). 2) Feel free to use the program at any time that is convenient for your parish, school, or religious community. 3) The program is only available in English.
