Join us for the "Laudato Si' and the U.S. Catholic Church" Conference
this June and July 2023!

The biennial conference series is co-sponsored by Creighton University and Catholic Climate Covenant to equip and inspire Catholics to more deeply integrate Laudato Si’  and its creation care teachings into the U.S. Church.

Our 2023 convening – the third gathering in our series – will be held virtually over a series of evenings in June and July. This year's conference will focus on a greater understanding of the Laudato Si' Action Platform’s (LSAP) seven goals and provide them with a clearer path for accomplishing each of the goals. Once you register for the conference, you will receive a confirmation email with the schedule and the Zoom link that you can use to enter all of the sessions.

• Throughout a series of evenings, from June 14th through July 27th, the conference will host virtual 90-minute sessions on the seven goals of the LSAP: each session will feature a scholar who describes the goal, practitioners who outline their work to achieve the goal, and a moderated Q&A.
• We open the conference on June 14 with a keynote address from Ms. Christiana Figueres, former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) who brokered the Paris Agreement. The last session, The Laudato Si' Champion Awards recognition session, is scheduled for July 27th.

•  The conference is free, but a voluntary donation will help offset conference costs that include Spanish language translation, speaker stipends, and staff time. (A link to donate will be sent to you in the confirmation email.)
• Once you register you will receive the Zoom to attend all sessions; and you will receive recordings of any sessions you miss.
