Dear Friends,

We invite you to collaborate with Catholic Climate Covenant in the creation of this year’s Feast of St. Francis resource: Spreading Seeds of Peace and Hope for Creation!

A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
This year’s Feast of St. Francis resource will be very different from other years! Rather than a 90-minute program, we will publish a collaborative eco-spirituality resource that can be used during this year’s Season of Creation, the planned Pilgrimages of Hope for Creation, the Feast of St. Francis, and beyond. And you can be part of it! We invite you to submit your original prayers, reflections, meditations, hymns, liturgies, artistic expressions, etc., and/or share this invitation with others in your community!

SEE THE FLYER AND SHARE IT WIDELY!

What material are we seeking?
We are seeking ORIGINAL (written/created by you) creation care and
Laudato Si’ connected:

  • Prayers
  • Poems
  • Reflections/meditations
  • Liturgies
  • Music/hymns/songs
  • Intercessory prayers
  • Art (banners, graphics, bulletin insert art, etc.)

Material that responds to/lifts this year’s theme for the Season of Creation (Peace with Creation) or Pope Francis’ World Day of Prayer for Creation theme (Seeds of Peace and Hope) would be incredibly appreciated!

What do we mean by “original material”?
By “original,” we mean “written/created/belonging to you and you have the ability to provide permission for its use.” We know that many of you are amazing liturgists, artists, and writers, and you have written/created eco-spirituality (worship/liturgical) resources for your communities. Some of you may want to write/create something new for this year’s Season of Creation. We want to compile the richness of local U.S. Catholic spiritual life and share it with a larger audience.

How do I submit material for the Feast of St. Francis resource?
Please email your submissions to Paz Artaza-Regan (paz@catholicclimatecovenant.org). All material accepted and used in this year’s resource will include the submitter's name! The priority deadline for submissions is July 7, 2025.

Email paz@catholicclimatecovenant.org if you have questions!

Sincerely,

Catholic Climate Covenant
