13 members of the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus (6 Democrats and 7 Republicans) have introduced the Climate Solutions Commission Act of 2017 (H.R.2326).
The bill would establish a bipartisan National Climate Solutions Commission that would recommend policies and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the President and Congress and the States. Importantly, these recommendations would be based on the latest scientific findings of what is needed to avoid serious human health and environmental consequences of a changing climate. Because the President and top Congressional leaders from both parties would appoint the members of the Commission, they would be agreeing that climate change is real, human caused, and requires solutions.
